You can walk over the hills although some of the best walks in the area follow tracks along the coast. It is worthwhile walking along the track from Arivegaig to the beach at Gortenfern and walking through the Ariundle Oaklands Nature Reserve.

If you want to play golf there are courses at Resipole and at Morar. Both occupy beautiful situations overlooking the sea. If you want to explore the coastline to see the scenery and wildlife you can to hire boats on Loch Sunart at Ardslignish and Laga Bay and on Loch Shiel at Dalilea.

If you want to eat out there is Ardshealach House and the Loch Shiel Hotel in Acharacle. Both offer varied menus that concentrate on the fresh ingredients that are available locally and both are open to non residents.
